Find replays with PostHog AI

PostHog AI searches and filters session recordings using natural language. Instead of building filters manually, describe the behavior you're looking for – like "users who rage clicked on the pricing page" – and PostHog AI finds matching sessions.

How it works

PostHog AI understands replay-specific events and behaviors, including:

  • Rage clicks – repeated clicks on the same element, often indicating frustration
  • Dead clicks – clicks on non-interactive elements
  • Error events – JavaScript errors, network failures, and captured exceptions
  • Navigation patterns – page visits, referrers, and exit pages
  • User properties – plan type, cohort membership, country, and any person property you've captured

When you describe what you're looking for, PostHog AI translates your description into replay filters and returns matching sessions. You can then watch the replays directly or ask PostHog AI to summarize them.

Tips for better results

  • Describe behavior, not pages – "users who got stuck during onboarding" works better than "users on /onboarding"
  • Combine criteria – "enterprise users who rage clicked in the last 24 hours" narrows results faster than separate queries
  • Reference user properties – PostHog AI can filter by plan type, cohort, country, or any person property you've captured
  • Ask about patterns across sessions – "What are users struggling with on the settings page?" summarizes behavior across multiple replays instead of returning individual sessions
  • Chain with summaries – After finding sessions, ask PostHog AI to summarize them so you don't need to watch every replay
