Connect AWS Savings Plans to PostHog to sync your data into the PostHog data warehouse for analysis and modeling.

Sync Savings Plans, commitment use, and coverage into the PostHog Data warehouse. Grant savingsplans:DescribeSavingsPlans for plan inventory. Grant ce:GetSavingsPlansUtilization for daily utilization. Grant ce:GetSavingsPlansUtilizationDetails for utilization details. Grant ce:GetSavingsPlansCoverage for daily coverage. Enable Cost Explorer for the metric tables. AWS charges for Cost Explorer requests. Daily utilization details require at least one request per day. This source uses the global endpoints in the standard AWS partition. Metric imports cover up to 365 days and read the previous seven days again during incremental syncs.

Linking AWS Savings Plans to PostHog

  1. Go to the Data pipeline page in PostHog
  2. Click New source and select AWS Savings Plans
  3. Fill in the required configuration fields
  4. Click Next, select the tables you want to sync, and then press Import
