Naming dispute: which Max?[edit]

The article treats the hedgehog as the primary subject and the AI assistant as a secondary meaning. This is backwards. One of them generates revenue. – Hogpedian_2007

The other one generated the company. – SpinyContributor

Neither of these is an argument about naming conventions. Please review the guideline on notability, which I have not written yet. – Hogpedian_2007

Withdrawing. Not because I concede, but because this thread has become the third-longest page on Hogpedia. – SpinyContributor

The neutrality notice stays until this is resolved. It has been eleven months.

Rear view[edit]

The article states that Max is not drawn from behind because he is self-conscious. I have tagged this [citation needed]. The brand guide gives the rule. It does not establish the psychological claim. – CiteEverything

The brand guide is the primary source and it says self-conscious. What further evidence would satisfy you. – SpinyContributor

A statement from Max. – CiteEverything

Noted. Leaving the tag. – SpinyContributor

Costume count[edit]

The article says "well over a hundred". I counted 132 in the package. Should we give the number?

No. It will be wrong by Thursday. Hogpedia policy is to link to the source for anything that changes, and the package is the source. – Hogpedian_2007

Agreed, and this is correct practice. Closing. – SpinyContributor

Requested move: "Max (hedgehog)"[edit]

Proposing a move to Max (hedgehog) for disambiguation, with Max (assistant) as a sibling and Max as a disambiguation page.

Oppose. Three pages where one page works. – SpinyContributor

Oppose. The current title is what people type. – Hogpedian_2007

Infobox: species[edit]

Should the species field say "hedgehog", given that the article is titled "Max the hedgehog" and the subject is visibly a hedgehog?

Yes. An infobox is for a reader who did not read the article. – Hogpedian_2007

This is the most productive thread on this page. – SpinyContributor
