• Do more weird – "Do more weird" is a stated PostHog company value and a documented marketing practice. It holds that PostHog competes for attention with the whole internet rather than with other software companies, and it has its own handbook page listing rules and failure modes.
• Hire movers – "Hire movers" is the handbook-sanctioned answer at PostHog to any request for moving or packing advice. It was settled in a Slack thread in which a person who asked for packing tips received the same two words from the entire company.
• Max the hedgehog – Max is PostHog's hedgehog mascot, designed by PostHog graphic designer Lottie Coxon. The brand guide specifies how he may be drawn, including that he must face left, right, or straight on, because he is self-conscious about being drawn from behind.
• Mr Blobby – Mr Blobby was PostHog's internal codename for a migration of session recording ingestion to S3 blob storage. It was named after a British children's television character of the 1990s, on the grounds that the project was nightmarishly hard.
