We’re partnering with Stripe to solve the most annoying problem for product builders
Contents
No, it’s not coming up with a company name.
And it’s not trying to find a technical co-founder.
It’s the initial pain of installing, configuring, and authorizing the first elements of your stack. You need something to handle payments, something to handle hosting, something to handle analytics and flags, something to control alerting and observability. Before you know it, you’ve got 100 tabs open, you’ve muddled your credentials into the wrong .env file.
It’s a huge pain, and one that prevents an unreasonably large number of startups from reaching product-market fit as quickly as they could.
So, we’re fixing it. In partnership with Stripe, we’ve built an all-in-one provisioning and setup service. One CLI command and it’ll set up your stack for you, including Stripe and PostHog.
What this means for you
If you're starting a new project today, here's what this actually looks like in practice.
You run one command. Stripe Projects provisions your stack – including PostHog – and hands back real credentials that just work, in your own accounts, without any dashboard hopping. No copy-pasting keys between tabs. No half-finished setup docs. It just works.
On the PostHog side specifically, that means you get analytics, feature flags, session replay, and everything else we offer configured and ready from the moment your project spins up.
And if you want to go further with AI, you can. Use PostHog AI to ask questions about your data or write SQL queries for you. Add other PostHog products at a later date with the Wizard. Integrate with your own agents and AI tools via the MCP.
The reason we wanted to partner with Stripe specifically is that they sit at the centre of how developers build and pay for infrastructure. Building on that foundation – rather than creating yet another provisioning silo – felt like the right way to make this genuinely useful rather than just adding to the problem.
AI is fundamentally changing the way teams build, and the pace of that change is accelerating. We don't see any sign of it slowing down and, as a team that is already shipping dangerously fast, we're excited to see how much faster we – and our users – can go when we cut the time from “I have an idea” to “I have a working, instrumented product” to be as short as possible.
You can try it today -- PostHog is available as one of the services you can provision from the jump. It's a developer preview and we'd genuinely love to know what you think because we’ve got a lot more AI-enabled tools on the way to help you ship even faster.
PostHog is an all-in-one developer platform for building successful products. We provide product analytics, web analytics, session replay, error tracking, feature flags, experiments, surveys, LLM analytics, logs, workflows, endpoints, data warehouse, CDP, and an AI product assistant to help debug your code, ship features faster, and keep all your usage and customer data in one stack.
