PostHog Wizard hedgehog

The Sage Intacct connector syncs your financial and accounting data – customers, vendors, invoices, bills, GL accounts, and journal entries – into PostHog, so you can analyze your finance data alongside your product data.

Alpha feature

The Sage Intacct source is in alpha. If you encounter any issues, please report them in PostHog's GitHub repository.

Prerequisites

You need:

  • A Sage Intacct account with REST API access enabled
  • An OAuth client ID and client secret from a customer-owned OAuth application
  • A web services username in the format UserId@CompanyId (or UserId@CompanyId|entityId for access to a single entity)

For details on setting up OAuth credentials, see the Sage Intacct OAuth guide.

Adding a data source

  1. Go to the sources tab of the data pipeline section in PostHog.
  2. Click + New source and then click Link next to Sage Intacct.
  3. Enter your Client ID, Client secret, and Web services username.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the tables you want to sync and configure sync frequency as needed.
  6. Click Import.

Sync modes

Each table can be synced in one of several modes, depending on what the source supports:

  • Webhook (when available) – the source pushes changes to PostHog in real time. Fastest freshness, lowest ongoing cost, and the only mode that reliably captures updates and deletes.
  • Incremental – only new or updated rows are synced on each run, using a cursor field (such as an updated_at timestamp). Cheaper than a full refresh, but deletes aren't captured.
  • Append only – new rows are appended using a cursor field; existing rows are never updated. Ideal for immutable, append-only tables like event logs.
  • Full refresh – the whole table is reloaded on every sync. Use it when a table has no reliable cursor or when you need deletions reflected.

See sync methods for a full explanation of how each mode works and how to choose between them.

All Sage Intacct tables use full refresh only. Each sync re-imports the complete dataset for the selected tables. This ensures edits and deletions in Sage Intacct are reflected in PostHog. Incremental sync is not supported.
