# Summarize Surveys with PostHog AI - Docs

[PostHog AI](/docs/posthog-ai.md) analyzes and summarizes your [Survey](/docs/surveys.md) responses, extracting themes, sentiment, and actionable insights from open-text and structured answers. Instead of reading hundreds of responses manually, ask PostHog AI to surface the patterns.

## How it works

PostHog AI reads through your Survey responses and produces:

-   **Theme extraction** – groups responses into common topics (e.g. "pricing concerns," "onboarding confusion," "missing features")
-   **Sentiment analysis** – classifies feedback as positive, neutral, or negative
-   **Actionable insights** – highlights specific suggestions and recurring requests
-   **Segment comparisons** – differences in feedback between user groups (e.g. free vs paid, new vs returning)

A typical NPS summary might include:
