# MCP model share

The **Share of calls by model** card on the MCP analytics dashboard compares tool call volume across captured model names. It appears when at least one tool call in the selected date range and filters has an identified model.

Horizontal bars rank models by call count. Each bar shows its percentage of all tool calls and its call count. Hover over a bar to see the full model name.

Recognized model families use consistent colors, with related shades for individual models. Colors stay the same when call counts or rankings change. Provider prefixes do not change a recognized model's color. Other named models receive a stable palette color; **Unknown** and **Other** remain neutral gray.

-   **Unknown** includes calls without an identified model. Its gray bar remains in the percentage denominator.
-   **Other** combines identified models outside the six most-used model names.
-   **Identified** shows the percentage of all tool calls with an identified model, including those grouped into **Other**.

The card uses the model metadata captured with each call. Calls without model metadata remain **Unknown**.
