For an EU Cloud project, use `https://eu.posthog.com` instead of `https://us.posthog.com` or `https://app.posthog.com` (app host for links). ## On this page - [Prerequisites](#prerequisites) - [Adding a data source](#adding-a-data-source) - [Sync modes](#sync-modes) - [Configuration](#configuration) - [Supported tables](#supported-tables) - [Troubleshooting](#troubleshooting) **Beta release** This source is currently in **beta**. The key needs read access to the resources you want to sync. ## Adding a data source 1. In PostHog, go to the [Sources tab](https://app.posthog.com/data-management/sources) of the data pipeline section. 2. Click **\+ New source** and click **Link** next to this source. 3. Enter your credentials (see [Configuration](#configuration) below) and click **Next**. 4. Select the tables you want to sync, choose a sync method and frequency, then click **Import**. Once the syncs are complete, you can start querying this data in PostHog. When linking Ruddr, you'll need: - **API key** – create one under **Settings → API Keys** in [Ruddr](https://www.ruddr.io). The key grants read access to your clients, projects, tasks, members, and time entries. ## Sync modes Each table can be synced in one of several modes, depending on what the source supports: - **Webhook** (when available) – the source pushes changes to PostHog in real time. Fastest freshness, lowest ongoing cost, and the only mode that reliably captures updates and deletes. - **Incremental** – only new or updated rows are synced on each run, using a cursor field (such as an `updated_at` timestamp). Cheaper than a full refresh, but deletes aren't captured. - **Append only** – new rows are appended using a cursor field; existing rows are never updated. Ideal for immutable, append-only tables like event logs. - **Full refresh** – the whole table is reloaded on every sync. Use it when a table has no reliable cursor or when you need deletions reflected. See [sync methods](https://posthog.com/docs/data-pipelines/sources.md#sync-methods) for a full explanation of how each mode works and how to choose between them. ## Configuration | Option | Type | Required | | --- | --- | --- | | `API key` | password | Yes | ## Supported tables | Table | Description | Sync method | Incremental field | Primary key | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `clients` | A client (customer company) tracked in your Ruddr workspace. | Full refresh | — | — | | `projects` | A project delivered for a client in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `project_tasks` | A task within a project in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `members` | A member (user) of your Ruddr workspace. | Full refresh | — | — | | `time_entries` | A time entry logged by a member against a project or task in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `project_prepayments` | A prepayment recorded against a project to offset future fees in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `timesheet_attestations` | A statement a member must sign when submitting a timesheet in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `task_categories` | A category used to classify project tasks in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | | `pipeline_activities` | An activity logged against a sales pipeline opportunity, company, or contact in Ruddr. | Full refresh | — | — | ## Troubleshooting If your sync is failing or data looks wrong, see the [Data warehouse troubleshooting guide](https://posthog.com/docs/data-warehouse/troubleshooting.md).
