# Send PostHog event data to AWS Kinesis - Docs

Send event data from PostHog into an AWS Kinesis stream.

You'll also need access to the relevant AWS account.

## Installation

1.  In PostHog, click the [Data pipeline](https://app.posthog.com/data-management/destinations) tab in the left sidebar.
2.  Click the [Destinations](https://app.posthog.com/data-management/destinations) tab.
3.  Search for 'AWS Kinesis' and click **\+ Create**.
4.  Add your AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key at the configuration step.
5.  Press **Create & Enable** and watch your 'Events' get sent to AWS Kinesis!

## Configuration

| AWS Secret Access KeyType: stringRequired: True |
| AWS RegionType: stringRequired: True |
| Kinesis Stream NameType: stringRequired: True |
| Kinesis Partition KeyType: stringRequired: False | If not provided, a random UUID will be generated. |
| Message PayloadType: jsonRequired: False |
