This is good for you, but will cut our data warehouse revenue by 40%. So, why do it?
Firstly, we want to do what's right for you. A 7-day free period lets you test things for free. If it works, we think you'll stick around a while and spend more money. If not, you were going to churn anyway.
We also want to be the obvious choice for a data warehouse. Our goal is to always undercut competitors. We can do this because we have a lot of products, so the unit economics equal out. [More products coming soon!](https://app.posthog.com/settings/user-feature-previews)
It's important to note too that we want to build sustainably. Despite the revenue hit, every product we offer is margin-positive and we remain [default alive](https://posthog.com/newsletter/the-companies-that-shaped-posthog#our-takeaways-2). For example, with the regex: `\/merchant\/\d+\/dashboard$`
The paths under`https://example.com/merchant/12345/dashboard` and `https://example.com/merchant/6789/dashboard` would both become `https://example.com/merchant/dashboard`.
This is very helpful when analyzing user paths.

You can even set the “'new tab” layout as your homepage, giving you quick access to search, shortcuts, dashboard and notebook creation, recently viewed pages, and more. It’s like having a command center for your PostHog projects.

### Pass $anon_distinct_id with backend feature flag calls

You can now pass $anon_distinct_id in person_properties when calling feature flags from backend SDKs.
This ensures flag persistence works even if you only identify users on the backend. In practice, it means evaluations will stay consistent across frontend and backend requests – even if the frontend only has an anonymous ID.

### Configurable runtime evaluation

You can now specify evaluation runtimes for feature flags, enabling you to control for environments and optimize performance. Feature flags can be scoped to:
- **Server**: Flags are only evaluated on server-side SDKs (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, PHP, etc.)
- **Client**: Flags are only evaluated on client-side SDKs (JavaScript, React, mobile SDKs)
- **All** (default): Flags are evaluated in both server and client environments

We’ve upgraded our account security with several two-factor authentication (2FA) features:
- Updated 2FA setup and verification
- Organization-level 2FA requirements for all members
- Session-based 2FA verification with configurable enforcement
- 2FA bypass for domains with SSO enforcement
- Support for switching between organizations when 2FA is required

### Ignore rageclick by CSS selector

Sometimes rapid clicks are signs of excitement, not rage.
You can now exclude elements from rageclick detection using the new `.ph-no-rageclick` class, letting you filter out false positives like clicking “next” or “previous” buttons too quickly.
We’ve also added a [rageclick configuration](https://posthog.com/docs/libraries/js/config#configuring-rageclick) with a `css_selector_ignorelist` setting to our JS web SDK. You can use it to create a custom list of CSS selectors to exclude, giving you more control over which elements trigger rage clicks.
### Meta ads as a data source

We’ve added Meta Ads as a supported data source for marketing analytics. You can pull campaign and performance data – like clicks, impressions, costs, and reported conversions – directly from Meta Ads into PostHog to create insights.

### Optional funnel steps

### Validate joins before they’re created

When joining two tables, a test query will be performed first to surface potential issues. This validation step will:
- Surface any errors from this test query
- Warn you when key column types don’t match
- Warn you if the query doesn’t return any rows
Errors will block you from performing joins, but not warnings.
### Query internal PostHog data with system tables

HogQL now supports the concept of system tables. System tables let you query your own internal PostHog data, like feature flags, dashboards, insights, cohorts, and more.

### Set goals for your experiment metrics

Up and to the right isn’t the goal of every experiment metric. Sometimes, your goal is to see a decrease, like fewer unsubscribes or support tickets. You can now configure goals for your experiments to increase or _decrease_ a metric.
### Feature flags with variant overrides now respect condition evaluation order

We fixed a bug where feature flags ignore [condition evaluation order](https://posthog.com/docs/feature-flags/common-questions#if-a-user-matches-multiple-release-conditions-which-one-is-used) configured when variant overrides are present.
This introduces a **breaking change**. If this change impacts one of your feature flags, we’ll send you an email.
Before this update, your feature flag conditions with variant overrides would always evaluate before other conditions, ignoring the defined order. With this fix, the conditions will be evaluated respecting the defined order.
To make sure your feature flags still work as expected, do the following:
- Review multi-variant flags that mix conditions with and without variant overrides.
- Check the order of conditions – after the fix, they’ll be respected exactly as configured.
- Reorder conditions if needed so that the intended audience still gets the right variant.
This is especially important if you have complex flags with multiple conditions mixing variant overrides. If you have questions about this change, reach out to our support team.
### Clip recordings to the relevant parts + export as video/gif

### Clickup now available as a destination

Clickup, the project management platform, is now available as a real-time destination for your product data from the data pipelines tool. You can now send data there to enhance your project plans, for example, by adding relevant person data to an issue.
Don't tell anyone, but now is a great time to try data pipelines out too -- we're planning a huge price cut next week!
### Marketing analytics now in beta

You can now use the new marketing analytics beta to track marketing campaigns, costs, and performance from multiple advertising platforms in your marketing analytics dashboard.
Right now we're mainly building this for ourselves (we use PostHog for tracking all our marketing), but the vision is for it to work for other teams too. You can already breakdown marketing costs over time, dissect campaign performance, and more by connecting with your data warehouse.
